Family History
We made a quick Spring Break visit to St. Louis to see my grandma, who is the keeper of all the old Henning family photo albums. This is a shot that I've loved since the first time I saw it, and she was kind enough to make me my own print.
Pictured somewhere in the early part of the 1900s, is (at left) a bear.
At center: Great-Great Grandma Ida, and at right is Great-Great Aunt Rosalia.
Just taking a hike through a national park and stopped to feed a bear, who is so much taller than them that they are standing on a massive tree root. My ancestors were made of hearty stock.
